Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI)
RLI is a grassroots coalition of Rotary districts implementing a leadership development program for "potential" leaders of Rotary CLUBS.
Great Plains RYLA
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership training program sponsored by Rotary International that promotes, encourages and rewards outstanding young people who want to become better leaders. RYLA participants can be ages 14-30, but Great Plains RYLA focuses on youth who are high school sophomores and juniors.
RYLA consists of an all-expense paid six-day conference that brings together a special group of young men and women from Central and Western Nebraska to share ideas about becoming better leaders. Action-packed activities, like problem solving games, challenge course, group discussions and teambuilding activities, help participants build confidence and leadership skills.
National Immunization Day (NID)
For decades, Rotary and its partners have organized and implemented National Immunization Day events throughout the world. Rotary members visit villages and towns to distribute vaccine supplies to local health centers, educate the community about disease prevention and the importance of vaccinations, and work with local officials to ensure that the vaccine reaches every child.
When Cindy visited Arnold from Belgium she participated in many activities including one act (earning a distinguished actor award), speech (making it to state in OID as a Southern Belle), many trips, and service projects. Cindy taught the students of Arnold Public School about Belgium and living life to the fullest.
